Moris Media is looking for a strategic and motivated Senior HR Manager to lead our human resources department and promote our vibrant company culture. This position plays a crucial role in driving our success through strategic guidance and enhancing our most valuable asset, our employees. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Moris Media's business objectives and promote company growth.
- Lead the HR team in executing these strategies effectively.
- Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Supervise the entire recruitment and onboarding process, from sourcing top talent to facilitating successful integration of new hires.
- Develop recruitment strategies, manage job postings, conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions.
- Performance Management:
- Create and implement performance appraisal systems, offer guidance to managers on feedback and coaching, and support employee development programs.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Establish competitive salary structures and benefits packages to attract and retain employees.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations Advocate:
- Foster positive employee relations, address workplace concerns, manage conflicts, and maintain a fair and inclusive work environment.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs, design and implement development programs, and encourage continuous learning.
- HR Policy Development & Compliance:
- Develop, update, and communicate company policies while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- HR Data and Analytics:
- Track and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire, employee engagement) to identify trends, support decision-making, and evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Relationship Builder:
- Establish strong partnerships with senior management, employees at all levels, and potential partners to drive HR initiatives.
- People Developer:
- Mentor and develop HR team members to help them excel in their roles and contribute to Moris Media's success.
- Compliance Guardian:
- Stay informed about national and international employment laws to ensure the company complies with all relevant regulations.
- Culture Champion:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to nurture a positive, productive, and inclusive company culture.
- Travel for talent:
- Undertake domestic and international travel as necessary for employee training, campus recruitment, and to directly support talent acquisition for the moCal brand.
- Strategic Talent Acquisition: Developing and executing effective recruitment strategies, proactively sourcing qualified candidates, and building a talent pipeline aligned with Moris Media goals.
- Interviewing & Assessment: conducting behavioural interviews, utilising assessment tools, and identifying top talent who fit the Moris Media culture.
- Onboarding & Integration: Designing seamless onboarding processes to acclimatise new hires, promote early engagement, and set them up for success.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Implementing strategies to foster a positive work environment, enhance employee satisfaction, and reduce turnover.
- Compliance Focus: In-depth knowledge of national and international employment laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance for Moris Media.
- Performance Management: Creating and managing performance appraisal systems to provide meaningful feedback, support development plans, and drive accountability.
- Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, managing conflicts fairly, and acting as a trusted resource for both employees and management.
- Compliance & Legal Expertise: A deep understanding of employment laws and regulations is needed to ensure ethical operations and mitigate legal risks.
- Compensation & Benefits: Developing competitive compensation structures and benefit packages to attract and retain talent while managing resources effectively.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: willingness to travel for training programmes, recruitment initiatives, and supporting brand launches.
- Training & Development: Identifying learning needs, implementing development programmes, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leveraging HR analytics to track key metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions for workforce planning and development.
- Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with Moris Media's goals and objectives.
- Performance Management: Experience in designing effective performance evaluation systems, coaching, and developing employee growth plans.
- Culture Champion: Working with senior leadership to cultivate a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Strategic Recruitment for Growth: Collaborating with the CEO on international recruitment and strategic partnerships for the expanding moCal brand.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Master's degree in HR Management, Business Administration (MBA), or similar is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Certifications:
- Professional HR certifications are highly valued, such as:
- PHR/SPHR (Professional/Senior Professional in Human Resources)
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP (SHRM Certified Professional/SHRM Senior Certified Professional)
- Other relevant certifications depending on industry or specialization

- Change Management: Experience in leading and navigating organizational change initiatives.
- Global HR Perspective: If the company has international operations, knowledge of global HR practices is advantageous.

Job Location & Travel
This role offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to balance work-from-home with time for collaboration.
- Hybrid Schedule: Work from home or the office as best suits your productivity.
- Travel Expectations: Approximately 30% of your time will involve travel, both domestically and internationally, for employee training, campus recruitment, and supporting our exciting new brand launch, moCal.
